About This Artwork
This series portrays women in Kirehe District carrying grasses, leaves, and other items on their heads after a long day in the fields. The grasses they gather are taken home to feed their animals, showing the care and responsibility behind their daily journey.
I was inspired by the quiet strength and dedication of these women. Watching them walk home after a full day’s work, balancing bundles on their heads, I wanted to honor their care for family and animals, and the beauty of everyday life in motion.
